Guided tours at de Silodam
The building attracts architectural tourists from all over the world. Volunteers take a part of them around in guided tours. The dozen guides are inhabitants, home-owners. 

A guided tour takes about one hour and shows the views from the outside and inside. Usually the programme includes a visit to one of the apartments. Visitors receive a brochure with information.

If people are interested in a guided tour, it is advised to contact us at least two weeks before the planned visit. Touringcars are prohibited on the dam. With public transport the building can be reached by bus 48 from then Central Train Station. Exit at Barentszplein. From the station a stroll along the waterfront can easily be done in less than half an hour.

For students the price of a guided tour and brochure is €7,50 pp, for others €10.

Rondleiding op de Silodam
Het gebouw trekt veel architectuurtoeristen van overal in de wereld. Een deel daarvan wordt door vrijwilligers rondgeleid. Het dozijn gidsen zijn bewoners, huiseigenaren.  

Een rondleiding duurt ongeveer een uur. Ze vindt plaats rond en in het gebouw. Meestal is een bezoek aan een van appartementen deel van het programma. De bezoekers krijgen een folder met informatie.
Als men belangstelling heeft kan men zich het beste enkele weken van tevoren aanmelden. Per rondleiding kunnen maximaal 12 bezoekers mee. Grote touringcars mogen niet op de dam. De Silodam is met bus 48 vanaf het Centraal Station te bereiken (halte Barentszplein). Vanaf het station is het langs de waterkant trouwens een mooie wandeling van minder dan een half uur.

Voor studenten kost een rondleiding en brochure €7,50 pp, voor anderen €10. Bij een groep wordt gevraagd om vooraf te betalen.
